🌿 1️⃣ Does the Thought “I Am the Atma” Bring Food?
Directly?
No.
Food and shelter come through:
- Effort
- Work
- Right action
- Society
Even great spiritual masters ate food and lived somewhere.
The body needs care.
🔱 2️⃣ Then What Is the Use of Knowing “I Am the Atma”?
It changes how you work, not whether you work.
Without spiritual awareness:
- Work creates stress
- Desire creates fear
- Possessions create anxiety
With Atma awareness:
- You work calmly
- You do your duty without fear
- You are not mentally disturbed by gain or loss
Sai Baba often said:
“Hands in society, head in the forest.”
Meaning:
- Perform worldly duties fully
- Keep inner detachment
🌾 3️⃣ Even Lord Krishna Worked
In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna did not tell Arjuna to run away from life.
He said:
- Do your duty.
- Act without selfish attachment.
- Remember your true nature while acting.
Spiritual knowledge supports action — it does not replace it.
🏠 4️⃣ Practical Truth
If someone only says “I am the Atma” but:
- Does not work
- Does not act
- Avoids responsibility
That is not realization — that is misunderstanding.
True Atma awareness gives:
- Clarity
- Strength
- Courage to act properly
💎 Final Understanding
The thought “I am the Atma” will not cook food.
But it will:
- Remove fear of survival
- Remove greed
- Remove insecurity
- Help you act wisely to earn food and shelter
Spiritual wisdom does not cancel worldly life.
It stabilizes it.
