Different traditions explain it slightly differently, but the main idea is the same: realizing your true spiritual nature.
In 🕉️ Hinduism
Moksha can happen through different paths:
- Jnana Yoga (Path of Knowledge)
Realizing that the soul (Atman) is one with Brahman (ultimate reality). - Bhakti Yoga (Path of Devotion)
Deep devotion and surrender to God. - Karma Yoga (Path of Action)
Doing good actions without attachment to results. - Raja Yoga (Path of Meditation)
Meditation and control of the mind.
When ignorance (Avidya) ends, the soul is liberated.
In ☸️ Buddhism
Liberation (often called Nirvana) happens by:
- Following the Eightfold Path
- Removing desire and attachment
- Understanding the true nature of reality
In 🕊️ Jainism
Moksha happens when:
- All karma is completely removed from the soul
- The soul becomes pure and free
In simple words:
Mokshya happens when a person:
- Stops being controlled by ego and desires
- Understands spiritual truth
- Becomes peaceful and detached
- Lives with wisdom and compassion
